There's a new dawn in adventure & challenge fundraising: Will We Make It!? ™
Here's how it all began

The Story of Will We Make It!? ™

Back in 2005 masters at work Mr. Forshew and Mr. Groman {Team Wrongolia} departed from Hyde Park in their 1988 Fiesta with a steely determination to reach Ulaan Bataar alongside 40 other teams in the '05 Mongol Rally. I was one of their supporters there at the Hyde Park send off and got captured by all the excitement. I got in touch with Mr. Tom (Founder of the Mongol Rally), told him I desperately wanted to help organise the next year's rally and found myself sipping ginger beer in Covent Garden on several occasions throughout 2006 with Mr. Tom and a small horde of other plotters as we planned The Adventurists' next Mongolian adventure. My speciality was PR and Fundraising. I had won Channel4 IDEASFACTORY'S Creative Class Award for PR & Marketing for the Wahbloª fundraising campaign I had created and piloted with World Vision. The idea was all about making charity affordable and rewarding by letting groups of mates donate anything from £1/month towards a specific charity project which they would receive updates on as it progressed. My PR idea for the Mongol Rally was to have a campaign called ÔWill We Make It!?' which got members of the public interacting on a comedy level with the absolute legends who were embarking on an epic voyage {which they would possibly not complete!} across land, sea and mud in a bid to raise £1000 for charity. Sadly, we ran out of time and couldn't get the Will We Make It campaign live, but I reckon it's worked out for the best. In the meantime Wahblo has been developing and now we are able to build the Will We Make It campaign into a website with a fundraising system built in. It has the entertaining bits like £1 Votes which get the general public interacting with what you're doing, and it has the basic fundraising functionality to accept donations from your friends, family and sponsors. I wanted Will We Make It to give you the fundraiser all the tools you need to get the most donations from anyone and everyone you come across. Enjoy it! Oh, and in the future we will link it into Wahblo which means that your supporters can carry on donating to the charities you've introduced them to through your fundraising challenge. More money for charity. More kudos for you. It's all good!
