About the Adventure Team Alabama Young Boys embark on an epic 2week, 2000mile journey through some weird and wonderful parts of India full of the unexpected. The Rickshaw, a 149cc beast, is all we have to get us from Katmandu to Pondicherry. Bandits, monsoon rain and mechanical failures are expected but do not hinder our enthusiasm.

After a quick discussion and a worrying disclaimer, the team signed up and thats history. However, what we still need to do is raise £1000 for Mercy Corps and Frank Water Project, both outstanding charities aiming to help those who are a less fortunate than us.

If you would like to sponsor Team Alabama, please do so by clicking on "DONATE" below. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.

one day when i came home at lunchtime, i heard a funny noise went out to the back yard to find out if it was, one of those rowdy boys. stood there with my neighbour called peter, and a Flux Capacitor. he told me he built a time machine like the one in a film i've seen, yeah yeah... he said... [Chorus:] i've been to the year three thousand not much has changed but they lived under water, and your great great great grand daughter, is pretty fine (is pretty fine) he took me to the future in the flux thing and i saw everything, boybands and another one and another one ... and another one! triple breasted women swim around town... totally naked! we drove round in a time machine, like the one in the film i've seen.. yeah yeah... he said... [Chorus] i took a trip to the year 3 thousand this song had gone multi platinum, everybody bought our 7th album. it had outsold michael jackson, i took a trip to the year 3 thousand this song had gone multi platinum, everybody bought our 7th album, 7th album. he told me he built a time machine like the one in a film i've seen, yeah yeah... he said... Our Challenge //

Rickshaw Run Summer 2008

The Rickshaw Run Summer 2008 is pretty simple. With no preparation and less luggage one flies to the subcontinent and does one's damndest to force 150cc of Indian engineering over thousands of miles of questionable terrain in around two weeks.

Upon arrival in Nepal we pause briefly for a game of cricket followed by tea and cakes before revving our engines and setting off. We stop on...
