About the Adventure
Heading off on your summer holidays soon?
Where to?
Ibiza? Malia? Maybe Ayia Napa?
All fabulous ideas but in our opinion lacking in some crucial holiday experiences like malaria, minefields and mud! With this in mind we will be driving through West Africa this summer at the most inhospitable time of year, all to raise oodles of cash for a very deserving charity, and to have a darn good adventure to boot!
The Back In Time For Tea And Medals team is made up by the spectacular pairing of Mr. Ben Lattimore and Mr. Bob Foster.
Ben Lattimore (El Capitan) is the cultural brains of the outfit and will be relied upon to negotiate our safe release should/when we get captured by rebels. He has however next to no mechanical knowledge, "I just sorta put the key in and turn it, magic happens, and the car starts."
Bob Foster (Greasemonkey) is the engineer whose job it will be to ensure our transport will get us to Cameroon in one piece. Rumour has it he successfully fixed a total engine blow-out with a piece of rope and small straw from a Ribena carton.
Send a Cow provides livestock, training and expertise to vulnerable families in Africa. They aim to provide subsistence farmers the means to work themselves out of charity for good. For more information, please do have a look here: http://www.sendacow.org.uk/default.asp

Massive, ridiculously hot, covered in deserts and some of the wildest jungles in the world, vast stretches that roads just don't reach; Africa calls the Adventurist like a siren in the night. Come hither and do thyself a mischief, she says.
The Adventurists Africa Rally starts in London's Hyde Park on Friday 18th July and after a huge party with the Mongol Rally teams heads south to...
