The Rickshaw Run Winter 2009 is pushing the boundaries to find an even more ridiculous route. It will start deep in the South of India in Pondicherry. It will finish in the picturesque hill station of Shillong giving you the opportunity to pop into Bangledesh on your merry way.
The Winter Run will pit you and your three wheeled tin can against pretty much everything the sub continent can throw at you, and that is a lot. From dehydration in the desert to altitude sickness in the hills, this is set to be an absolute beastie! There is no back up or support of any kind and no set route...

The Rickshaw Run is pretty simple. With no preparation and less luggage one flies to the Indian Subcontinent and does one's damndest to force 150cc of Indian engineering over thousands of miles of questionable terrain in around two weeks.
Upon arrival we pause briefly for a game of cricket followed by tea and cakes before revving our engines and setting off. We stop only to wet our whistles on the occasional gin and tonic at specially selected refreshment points.
