About the Adventure
The Mongol Rally wouldn't have us and we thought the Africa Rally was just a little too risky so, with a little bit of Lady Luck, we bagged a spot on the Rickshaw Run for Summer 2008.
Why we're doing it is a very good question. I suppose raising stacks of cash for charity while - at the same time - tuk tuking through one of the world's most diverse and expansive countires was just too good an opportunity to pass up.
Team Ding Dang Do must say a special thanks to the guys at The Admiral Bar (great quiz on a Tuesday @ 6.30pm with 2 pizza & 2 pints for £10) and The Beat Club (never beaten on value, music & quality) who have pushed the boat out and sponsored our trusty steed.......picture to follow. Thanks too to the companies mentioned below who were kind enough to donate great raffle prizes for the fundraising night we held in April.
While we're on the subject of £££ - please note that ALL of the money raised through this site and our other fundraising efforts is going directly to charity! Rest assured, there will be no all expenses paid trips for us. Oh no no no........
We believe the excellent work that is done by each of our charities is worthy of your support. The fact that we are putting ourselves through two weeks of leg cramps, lashing monsoon rains and muggy, mud laced, sleepless nights to achieve our target should only serve to compound your commitment to donate......... :)
Your money will be going to support the work of:

The Rickshaw Run Summer 2008 is pretty simple. With no preparation and less luggage one flies to the subcontinent and does one's damndest to force 150cc of Indian engineering over thousands of miles of questionable terrain in around two weeks.
Upon arrival in Nepal we pause briefly for a game of cricket followed by tea and cakes before revving our engines and setting off. We stop on...
You are among the first fans & fundraisers to be let loose upon the WillWeMakeIt™ fundraising system - Congratulations! - but do let us know how we're doing! If there is a tweak or improvement you'd like us to make, pop the full details of it in here and our technical guru James will be onto it in a flash gordon!
