About the Adventure
Starting in July this year, Tom and Sam will be taking part in an almighty adventure, the Mongol Rally. This is a 9,000 mile dash across a quarter of the earth's surface in cars that most people consider underpowered for doing the shopping! Thousands of miles of adventure lie ahead amidst some of the world's most stunning scenery.
This epic adventure will leave from Hyde Park in July and is due to culminate around 9000 miles and 4-6 weeks later in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. All vehicles must have engines of 1 litre or less, with teams taking part from all over the UK and Europe. To get to the end teams have gone as far north as the Arctic Circle and as far south as Afghanistan on what can only really be described as somewhat circuitous routes. What happens to you between London, the deserts, mountains, bandits and wilderness is anyone's guess. In a normal year just over half the teams make the finish line in one piece!
Latest News: Our Mongol Motor has arrived! She is in need of a little TLC but with a few minor jobs such as replacing the back suspension and welding the chassis back together she will be good to go!
So far the items for the rally contains a Bowie Knife and a passport so we're nearly there in terms of preparation too!
SPECIAL THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING COMPANIES //
