About the Adventure 5 guys with various links to each other (mainly involving Bolton and Durham) have decided to take part in the Mongol Rally 2008.

Ewan MacGregor may have been around the world, via Mongolia, on a bike but he had the aid of his celebrity-ness, the BBC and 2 big 4x4 jeeps driving with him but know this, we are alone - no help unless we find it, pay for it, bribe it or 'borrow it'.

The practicalities of driving 5 people (instead of the standard 2/3) means we have had to use our imagination and sort out an amusingly stupid vehicle in which to drive the rally. After much deliberation, cogitation and digestion over the Christmas period we have decided the way forward is to 'pimp' an old hearse. Yes, you read correctly - a hearse.

****UPDATE****

Sadly the hearse died very early on in it's adventure (it never left Bolton) so we have plumped for a hard working tough old 1992 Metrocab taxi. Picture attached.

Known as the Red Marauder she has an MOT and with a Ford Transit engine she is ready to take on the world.
