Rich and Ed's Excellent Adventure

About the Adventure
Rich Fisher of Nottingham and Ed Baker of Lincoln have known each other for the best part of a decade - having first met in 1998, when they both enrolled to do the same degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
Their friendship has been one largely based on a shared love of booze and good times. And now, the intrepid duo are planning to push their love of (mis) adventure to entirely new limits - by entering the 2008 Mongol Rally!
Yes, it probably sounds insane.
But hey, you only live once - and Rich and Ed are hoping they not only have an incredible adventure...but also that they raise a shedload of money for excellent charities too by getting people to sponsor them for their efforts.
You can sponsor Rich and Ed on this page with a credit or debit card.
Oh, and while you're here, you can also pay £1 towards Rich and Ed's fundraising target in return for being able to take part in a vote for whether you think the boys and their car actually make it to Mongolia or not!
Alternatively, if any of you are not comfortable with the idea of sticking your card details through the internet, the boys are also happy to accept sponsorship by cheque... or simply in the form of good hard cash!
If any of you wish to go down this route, simply get in touch with Rich or Ed. If you're reading this, the chances are that you'll know how to get hold of at least one of the boys! If not - well, Rich can be reached on email at richardpfisher@hotmail.com
And then, when we receive it, the amount you donate will be added to the total shown at the top of this webpage.
Of course though, Rich and Ed's adventure is not JUST about raising stacks of cash for excellent charities. No, the boys also have an additional target set firmly within their sights.
As many of you will be aware, Rich is a massive fan of Nottingham Forest Football Club. And through their entry into the rally, the boys are hoping the make the mighty Forest the biggest footy team in Mongolia!
To find out more about this cunning plan and how you can help, simply copy and paste the following link into the 'address' box of your web browser - and you'll be redirected to an online version of a story that recently appeared in the Nottingham Evening Post... which pretty much gives the full story.

Last but not least, Rich and Ed are also hoping ultimately to make a low-budget film telling the whole story of their excellent adventure.

So then, a big thanks for your interest.
If you'd like more information about Rich and Ed's Excellent Adventure there are various ways and means of getting it.

If you'd like to do this, either email Rich at richardpfisher@hotmail.com... or, if you're on Facebook, simply join the Facebook discussion group that's been set up dedicated to the boys' trip. To find this, simply do a group search in Facebook on 'Ed Baker and Rich Fisher'.
In addition, Rich and Ed have also got their own page on the official Mongol Rally website, which includes a blog that they'll be updating regularly with news of their preparations. To be redirected to this site, simply click on thhe link below.
