About the Adventure
I work at a South London college, we prepared a car for last years rally and were astounded when it made it past the M25, let alone 2nd place to Ulan Bator.
This year we have entered again with bigger and bolder plans. The "car" will be driven by myself and another lecturer and prepared by six of our students on a National Diploma in Vehicle Technology Course. Its actually and old Metrocab, and it has one MILLION miles on the clock already!
I will be joined by Chris Coombes, a highly irritable New Zealand, who is quite handy with the mechanics of a taxi and is an expert on Honda Deauvilles and Christmas baubles. There is nothing in the world i like more than sand in my Marmite sandwiches and getting lost, this challenge sounded perfect.
Disclaimer:
Our rally attempt is not supported by Kingston College, we are not employees of Kingston College whilst on the Rally, and if we get ourselves locked up in the basement of a Kazakh policeman's country retreat, we don't expect our employer to send us a cake with a file baked in it.
