The Fairbridge Car

About the Adventure
We have decided to attempt to drive to Cameroon in July and August. Three men in a 1 litre engine VW Polo. This is certainly not ideal: With Henry in the car we have our own giraffe whilst Ed can’t drive, and tends to sleep a lot. Massive, ridiculously hot, covered in deserts and some of the wildest jungles in the world, the Africa Rally will be a huge challenge.
Please show your support by being as generous as possible to help us raise as much money for charity. We are going to raise money for Send a Cow and Frank Water Projects in Africa, whilst in Britain, Fairbridge. A challenge nearer to home is the work that Fairbridge does to give young people aged 13-25, from UK inner cities, a fairer chance to succeed in life. All are outside of education, training or employment, or at risk of dropping out. They have multiple needs, such as housing issues, drug misuse, offending, exclusion from school, long-term unemployment, and teenage parenthood. Every young person needs someone to believe in them and a fair chance to prove themselves, and that's what Fairbridge offers through a unique combination of long-term support and practical learning experiences. Fairbridge provides a safe environment where young people can escape from bad influences and can develop the self-belief they need in order to change their lives. Failing these young people costs the UK taxpayer £90 million per week just in youth unemployment.
Since 10% of the young people who come to Fairbridge have no funding stream whatsoever, we are hoping to raise enough money to fund 3 young people through the Fairbridge programme, which currently costs £3,600 for each person.
We would be so grateful if you could give as generously as possible.
Many thanks for your support.
Will, Ed and Henry

Massive, ridiculously hot, covered in deserts and some of the wildest jungles in the world, vast stretches that roads just don't reach; Africa calls the Adventurist like a siren in the night. Come hither and do thyself a mischief, she says.
The Adventurists Africa Rally starts in London's Hyde Park on Friday 18th July and after a huge party with the Mongol Rally teams heads south to...
