About the Adventure Time to do something interesting again...this time Dom and I decided that the idea of driving a tuk tuk through India sounded fun. So on June 1st 2008 Dom and I set off from Kathmandu and have approx 2 weeks to get to Pondicherry in Southern India in a tuk tuk.

We are doing this in aid of two charities for whom we want to raise a combined total of at least £1,000.

The two charities we are raising funds for are;

1. Mercy Corps India - Mercy Corps' assistance to India dates back to January 2001 when the agency responded to a devastating earthquake in Gujarat. Today, Mercy Corps is working in India to build community collaboration and fulfil dire health and economic needs. The Himalayan foothills around Darjeeling, India are home to some of the world's finest teas - and some of Asia's poorest families. Current programmes include initiatives to improve water and sanitation, schooling, and support for people living with HIV/AIDS.

2. Frank Water Projects - Frank Water Projects is an independent not-for-profit company that uses income from selling bottled water in the UK to fund clean water projects in India. In this way it hopes to bring about positive change in some of the world’s poorest communities. More than a billion people in the world today lack access to clean drinking water. The result is that there are more people in the world’s hospitals today suffering from water-borne diseases than any other ailment. Two million children die every year - 6000 a day - from such infections. Most of them are under the age of five.

To find out more about these charities and the work they do please click on the links at the bottom of the page under 'Projects We're Supporting'.

Thank you.

Our Challenge //

Rickshaw Run Summer 2008

The Rickshaw Run Summer 2008 is pretty simple. With no preparation and less luggage one flies to the subcontinent and does one's damndest to force 150cc of Indian engineering over thousands of miles of questionable terrain in around two weeks.

Upon arrival in Nepal we pause briefly for a game of cricket followed by tea and cakes before revving our engines and setting off. We stop on...
