About the Adventure Four impulsive and crazy iberians (2 Portuguese, 2 Spanish) have decided to cross the Atlantic Ocean, like Colombus, in search of adventure, fun, but most importantly for a good cause.

What better way to traverse the continent but in the iconic vehicle of the region, a knackered VW Beetle?

Armed with only with a map and a touch of insanity we will attempt at driving across South America, from Quito (Ecuador) to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

We hope to raise lots of money for those that need it the most children from the poorest and most deprived regions of Peru and Columbia.

Mercy Corps Columbia and Peru

Mercy Corps currently has progammes in two Latin American countries – Peru and Colombia. Operating independently and through partners enables these programmes to support many thousands of children, families and communities in both rural and urban areas who desperately need help.

In Peru, Mercy Corps joined with local partners to bring emergency relief and recovery efforts to families affected by the 7.9-magnitude earthquake that struck coastal Peru on 15th August 2007. The disaster left an estimated 100,000 people without a home.
