About the Adventure Ginny, Kirsten & Tristan will be setting off from Hyde Park Corner on 19th July 2008 to participate in the Mongol Rally! Our amazing adventure, in a 12 year old Nissan Micra 998cc (a vehicle not much bigger than our hair dryers), will cover 10,000 miles across Europe, Middle East & through the scary Stan countries in Central Asia into the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar. We'll be hooning through 21 countries in 29 days (hopefully)!!

There's a very good chance we'll come across a few obstacles.

Ginny is learning the Cyrillic alphabet so we can read maps and Kirsten is learning Kazakh and Mongolian. Even if we master a few words we're not likely to see anyone for a few thousand miles, and we definitely hope we don't need to ask for directions. "U-GA-AL-GIN O-ROO KHA-A-NA BAI-NA VE"

Apart from having an incredible adventure we hope to raise loads of money for communities much less fortunate than ours, but we need your help. The two charities we're supporting are: 'Mercy Corps Mongolia' who aim to give a better quality of life to the rural communities in Mongolia, and 'Hope and Homes for Children' who are dedicated to finding homes for orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable children in the poorest regions of the world.

We are covering all the costs of the trip ourselves so every penny you donate will go directly to the charities. Please give generously – the Mad Minx Mobile (or what is left of it) will be auctioned off at the end of the rally for charity – we will not be driving home…..
