About the Adventure
Thank you for visiting our donations page.
'League of Gentlemen' (aka Robert Dudley & Nicholas Lowe) will be landing in Kathmandu on the 1st June 2008 and collecting a 125cc Auto Rickshaw for the 2008 Summer Rickshaw Run.
60 Teams, in customised rickshaws, from around the globe will then set off on an epic Charity drive.
We will be trying to drive the 4500kms from Nepal to Pondicherry in Southern India in 14 days at a maximum speed of 30miles per hour - through the monsoon season, 50 degree heat, and with no set route, backup vehicles, or support !!
We are doing this to raise as much money as possible for the Mercy Corps India as well as local charities based in Leicestershire. The Mercy Corps do a fantastic job globally and apply your support where it is needed - at local level - through education, traing and support.
The Mercy Corps website is www.mercycorps.org
Our undertaking will not be easy or particularly safe! We need your support please!
Donations make this trip, and our suffering (!), count - please support us and an the Mercy Corps.
We also have have space on our rickshaw for business sponsorship stickers - please ring us on 07831 524251 if you would like to be associated with this international charity event.

The Rickshaw Run Summer 2008 is pretty simple. With no preparation and less luggage one flies to the subcontinent and does one's damndest to force 150cc of Indian engineering over thousands of miles of questionable terrain in around two weeks.
Upon arrival in Nepal we pause briefly for a game of cricket followed by tea and cakes before revving our engines and setting off. We stop on...
You are among the first fans & fundraisers to be let loose upon the WillWeMakeIt™ fundraising system - Congratulations! - but do let us know how we're doing! If there is a tweak or improvement you'd like us to make, pop the full details of it in here and our technical guru James will be onto it in a flash gordon!
