About the Adventure
Ok... well as you can see from the name im going solo!..failing is not an option...and im pretty sure this is going to be a painful experience!! So thats 3 weeks, 6000 miles and some of the toughest terrains out there...lets not forget no set route, no back up and the chosen form of transport.....THE LOVE BUG!! (Fine Steed of indeed!)
The Love bug is actually a blue 1965 BEAST!!, a piece of germanys finest engineering (40 years ago!) and is sat waiting for the greatest (and most likely last!) adventure of its life!!
Like the car im completely unprepared and in no way suitable for the challenge ahead, but with true british grit and arrogance i'v decided i have to have ago and of course i will succeed!!

The Ruta Del Sol is the first foray into the wilds of Latin America for the Adventurists. Thousands and thousands of miles of proper hardcore Jungles and rainforest, the Andes, awful roads, complete absence of roads, tropical weather and lest we forget, the carnival. Along with raising sacks of cash for awesome charities it's a heady combination I think you'll agree.
