About the Adventure
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am raising money for both 'Send a Cow' and 'Cameroon Wildlife Aid Fund' by partaking in 'The Adventurists Rally - Africa'.
The Charities:
'Send a Cow' is a charity which enables poor farmers in Africa to become self-reliant by providing them with livestock, training and advice. They work with some of the most vulnerable groups in Africa, including children orphaned by war, families affected by AIDS, and disabled people.
'Cwaf' aims to ensure Cameroon's primates have a healthy future.
Working with the government, local communities and other ecological groups around the world. Cwaf operates two sites in Cameroon in co-operation with the"Cameroon Ministry of Environment and Protection of the Nature".
The Challenge:
'The Adventurists Rally: Africa' starts on July 18th 2008 from London and involves navigating a 1.0 litre car to the bottom of Cameroon, driving through the pyrenees and high atlas mountain ranges, the massive and ridiculously hot expance of desert which is the Sahara and some of the wildest jungles in the world.
Our route takes us from england through france, spain, morocco, western sahara, mauritania, mali, niger, nigeria and into cameroon.
