About the Adventure
As the only all-female all-Australian team from an international contingent of 200 teams, we are two thirty-something professional women are from Sydney, Australia. Neither of us can list 'mechanic' in our past work history. Our car we will be buying on Ebay in UK - while we're still living over in Sydney...
Team Emu Draft will be raising thousands of Aussie dollars for Mercy Corps Mongolia and The Christina Noble Children's Foundation - whilst having the adventure of a lifetime! We figure with a combination of female wit, grit and determination we'll be able to reach both our fundraising target and our goal of reaching the finish in Ulaan Bataar - and we need your help and support!
Donations made through this website will go straight to the two charities who we are supporting.
Thanks to the current strength of the mighty Aussie dollar, your donations have never gone further! The conversion rate at the moment is £1 = $2.16, which means that you cast your vote for whether you think we'll make it to Mongolia for less than a cost of a cappucino!
For those of you making a donation online, you can change the currency of the donation to Australian dollars so no need to work out conversion rates.
And now for what you can receive in return...
Donate up to $50 & know that you are supporting two important charities
Donate $50 or more and receive a postcard from Mongolia!
Donate $100 or more and receive a postcard & snowdome from Mongolia!
Donate $1000 and receive a Mongolian wrestler (once we smuggle him past Immigration...)
Team Emu Draft thank you once again for your generous support of Mercy Corps Mongolia & The Christina Noble Children's Foundation.

The Mongol Rally 2008 starts on July 19th 2008 from London, Madrid and Milan and ends up in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
What's the point?
The world is just a little bit too safe. Gone are the days when the edge of the map called you forth to discover what lay beyond - satellite maps and GPS have it laid out before you leave the armchair. What if you want th...
