About the Adventure All money raised here goes towards our two very deserving charities and helps us reach our £1000 target. Our charities are Christina Noble Children's Foundation and MercyCorps Mongolia. On 19th July 2008 The Larrikins Rally Team (Alex, Phill and Mark) are competing in what has been described as ‘the greatest adventure on earth’ – The Mongol Rally. They will depart from London and travel 10,000 miles through Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia, finally arriving in Ulan Bataar, the capital of Mongolia approximately 6 weeks later. The challenge that awaits them is enormous. Rules of the rally state that no team can use a car over one litre, and that’s it: there is no safety team, no qualified engineers and no spare vehicle. It’s just them, their wits, and their infallible resolve and determination. And our car of choice? A classic 1991 Lada Riva! If you're reading this hopefully you're thinking about giving our charities some well deserved dosh.....so on behalf of Alex and myself, thanks alot!! Much appreciated! So come on, help some needy kids. You can give as little or as much as you want.....every penny helps. Ta very much!! Phill, Mark and Alex
